The little sheet is missing a lot of information. That's probably because it's tiny sdkfhgsdf.

So I'm only going to emphasize events I can currently remember!

The beginning? I'll start from the earliest settlers in Ireland during the Middle Stone Age period. These were hunters that crossed from Scotland by a land bridge. (This was most likely when Hibernia existed.)

Celts from Britain settling in Ireland 600BC is the "birth" of the Representative of Eire. He lived off farming mostly.

By 200BC, Ireland was united only through culture and language, there was no definite government or any means of politics weaving them together. It was divided into kingdoms, each called a 'tuath'. There were many kings that ruled back then, one for each tuath and one who ruled a group of 'tuath' and this king was a subject of ONE king out of FIVE provincial kings! There was always a shift in power at this time. Celtic Ireland lived peacefully, only running on a simple agrarian economy. There weren't any coins at the time and cows were the means of trade. There weren't any towns and society was divided into classes. Pretty simple life they were living here. (Quinn was still going through adolescence here, looking around 11-12 years old)

By 100BC, the Gaels had arrived. c300 AD, Scoti tribes settled. 431 AD Palladius was sent as the first Bishop for Christianity. Then a year after [432 AD] St. Patrick arrived to convert the Gaelic Kings to Christianity. 461AD, St. Patrick dies, but not before teaching Ireland the ways of Roman Civilisation and introducing the Christian Church. (By the death of St. Patrick, Quinn looked around the age of 18-19)

While I'm giving you all a history lesson, the Shamrock is Ireland's emblem because their Saint, St. Patrick, taught the Holy Trinity through the little plant. And Saint Patrick's day, March 17th, is Quinn's chosen "Birthday" to somewhat honour the Saint that brought and taught him Christianity, a turning point teaching in Ireland. [Fun Fact: St. Patrick is actually from Britain! He was kidnapped and sold to a Druid chieftan in Ireland, then converted to Christianity because he had a lot of time to reflect on the bible verses and his beliefs]

So by 800AD, Ireland was attacked by Viking Norsemen. (Quinn is will look around 22-23 at this time. And here, his hair has grown to the point you could braid it back, which he probably did.) 908 was the Battle of Belach Mugna, Christians against the pagan nomads that were the Vikings. Ireland was under Cormac MacCuilenain's rule at this time. He's a sharp scholar, but when he joined the battle against the Vikings, things did not turn out so well. (Quinn was there in the battle and he probably saw how the Vikings swarmed around Cormac. He and the people were terrified [as well as down right pissed] and that was the day the Vikings had finally set a place for themselves in Ireland.)

916 was the year they settled into Dublin.

940 is when the last great high king of Ireland was born, Brian Boru. During the time that his brother, Mahon, ruled Munster in 951, the Norsemen imposed taxes on Munster and, together, they fought. (Quinn was a part of the constant rebellion against the Norsemen that was lead by Brian and Mahon) But later on, Mahon would be murdered [975] by the Ostermen [Norse]. Brian avenged his brother by killing the King of Ostermen [Limerick]. From that point onward, Brian was the king of Munster and held the trade centre of Limerick (Quinn's temporary home). Mael Sechnaill II and Brian Boru joined forces [997] and divided Ireland between them. (Quinn knew both of them but they were both unaware of Quinn's disposition as the representative of Ireland, so in all the rebellions, Quinn wholeheartedly took part of them, joining as a regular warrior. There were no special treatments, he was just like everybody else, he wanted to rid of the Norsemen.) Norse settlers in Dublin set Brian as their target but they were defeated at Glen Mama; the King of Leinster and the King of Dublin had both been captured.

1002, Mael recognized Brian as the KING of Ireland [partially because everyone was already recognizing him as such, he did liberate Ireland and restore its greatness.] Thus the rule of UiNeill's was put to an end! [The O'Neill's have been ruling for like ever well over 600 years to be exact]

(Little fun headcanon of mine! Quinn learned how to fight from Norway, before Ireland revolted brutally, and he trained till he was considered as one of those "Gall-Gael" or "Sons of Death".)

1014, Brian Boru had been defeated in the battle of Clontarf, though Ireland had won.

I will mention the 800 years of struggle that began 1167.

Also I will mention a few points, like how Edward Bruce of Scotland was able to invade Ireland [1315] after the Battle of Bannockburn, but the English had killed him by 1318.

England was being a bit pushy with all their laws, disallowing English/Irish marriages and pure-blooded Irish were not allowed anywhere near government positions.

1515 was the year ANARCHY started in Ireland. There were many rebellions at this point. (At this point in time, Ireland had a lot of wounds on his body. Most of his injuries, though, were self inflicted and not many of those left scars that would last long)

There were a lot of power struggles, England mostly ignoring the Irish and waltzing around with queen and kingly things.

[1649] An English soldier and statesman, Oliver Cromwell, landed at Dublins and his troops killed 2,000 men. Then part of Ulster, Munster, and Leinster was divided among them.

(This did not really make Quinn so happy.)

1650, Catholic landowners were exiled to Connaught.

Over 60 000 of the Irish had been sold to slavery.

(Did you know Quinn used to be healthy and fat; at around this time, he's slowly, ever so slowly, losing all that healthy weight)

The population was estimated 1 500 000. Then it reduced to 500 000.

1672, over 6 000 were sold for slaves again.

England.

England stop.

To not get into gruesome details, Ireland hit rockbottom. Rebellions and Anarchy, all Catholics being pushed down to the ground.

1740 was The Forgotten Famine. This famine was due to poor weather, resulting in a loss of crops and bad harvests. Temperatures were from 0 C to -12 C. This period can be called Arctic Ireland. (At around this time, Quinn's died once from the cold and starvation, [mostly starvation] though it was only one of those deaths that were inevitable in a nation's life)

1784 was the year Ireland had had it. Seeing America and France with all their revolts, the man was convinced that all the injustice happening in Ireland had to be stopped. By 1792 Northern Ireland started appearing and ideas of independence were slowly making roots into Ireland. By 1798, the Revolution had begun.

The reason Quinn is so afraid of big storms is because of the Night of the Big Wind. [1839] The hurricane blew everything away, broke down houses, tore out trees from the ground, everywhere there was chaos and distruction.

1845, Quinn had noticed something strange about his crops. He found out that the crops had Blight. This was the beginning of...

[1845-49] The Great Famine. Ireland had a horrible time here, being that most of their crops were Potatoes and almost everything they did centered around their crops. They lived on Potatoes for so long that when the Famine hit, the whole nation fell into this pit of doom. Most of the Irish migrated to America and other nations to survive, leaving Ireland with less than half the population it began with.

At this time, Quinn lost a lot of weight just through the first year. After he reached the 3rd year of being sick, he tried to hang himself because these years were the worst years of the famine, over 2 million people died or emigrating out of Ireland to survive. He failed to do so because fear stuck to him like glue and he endured another ruthless year of the Famine.

So then I think something worth mentioning is the Irish-Anglo war that happened from 1919-21, 1921 being the Anglo-Irish treaty being signed. Quinn was a part of the IRA before the Civil war where there were Republicans fighting against Free Staters, those who rejected the Anglo-Irish treaty against those for it. This war was the one where he suffered the most. Uh, as much as I would like to explain, it's just best to say that it was [almost literally] tearing him apart. So that's 90 years Independent from Britain. [from 1921-2011]

Then came the Second World War in the year 1939. Ireland was neutral all throughout, though some Irish men took part of the war through British/American armies. End of the second war: 1945

1949, Ireland is declared a Republic!
